British Golf Museum
The British Golf Museum opened its doors to the public in 1990, in St Andrews. The British Golf Museum is a great place for young people to learn about the history of golf.
Discover fascinating histories, incredible facts and take part in fun hands-on interactives which bring thousands of objects to life. The Recognition Scheme award was granted in 2011 and ensures Scotland’s most important collections are identified, promoted to wider audiences, and supported through funding to raise standards of care, access, and interpretation. Also in 2011, the museum was shortlisted as a finalist for the Best Visitor Experience in Scotland, by the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions. Both of these awards recognize the achievements of staff in offering customer care and facilities of a 5-star standard.
